Fakenham is the largest town in North Norfolk, a traditional working market town. Well known for its popular markets, dating back to 1250, previously a hub for the printing industry, today printing blocks can be found set into the surface of the market place and is represented on the town’s sign. The market traditionally runs every Thursday where traders showcase a wonderful example of the local produce on offer.
Fakenham is home to one of the finest rural national hunt race courses in the Country. Race goers continue to relish in the excitement and buzz of a day at the races from autumn through to early summer.
